Should I get a Cyprichromis leptosoma?

I like this fish, but would it go okay with my 2 10inch Tinfoil barbs, 1 10inch pleco, 1 bala shark 3inches, Torpedo Barb 3inches, and two clown loaches 3inches.

I take it you have a rather large tank given the species you have. The bala and clowns will triple in size, and the pleco (depending on species) may get larger as well. Balas also do better if you keep them ing groups of 3+. The torpedo should get to about 5 inches.

You should be okay as far as personality, since these are mild-mannered for cichlids, but they require a rather high pH - at least into the mid7s to mid 8s and are rather delicate as a species. Another unusual characteristic is that this is a chichlid that prefers to be in schools.

Because of their more demanding water conditions, I would suggest buying a group and keeping them in a separate tank if you would choose to get them.
