I am a michigan landlord of 13 yrs. It is law that a landlord cannot rent to a person under the age of 18 even with a cosigner. That landlord can end up in jail for doing it. Also, you cannot live with another person other than a relative that has a lease. That means you cant live with a 19 year old friend. You are stuck at home until you are 18. No landlord will touch you if they are smart.

Well you can not sign a contract until you are 18 years old. This includes a apartment rental agreement.

in line with possibility your mum and dad can cosign for you or something? because of the fact renting to 2 minors without written contract is downright reckless. yet heavily... why are you shifting in with this lady, once you're actually not comfortable sufficient to even sleep in the comparable mattress?

I moved out when I was 15 years old. You have to get emancipated in order to sign a lease, then you don't even need a cosigner.
