how do you make it look perfeclty finished?and the creases how do you do that, fold and sew? do you have any sites for christmas present ideas

Those are pleats. they hold stiff because the fabric is folded and caught up in the top band. That one is made from cotton and it looks like the straps will pull it out of shape if you try to actually carry anything in it, so I would recommend instead a bottomweight fabric, the kind you would use for pants. To make pleats, you just cut the fabric a little wider and fold it at even intervals.

Here are patterns for similar ones. On the second one, if you move the handles down and attach them under the band instead of up top, you'll have the same bag but with 2 pleats instead of 4. All you would have to do is cut the top wider and you'd have enough to make 4 pleats.

I am not a fashion designer, but I think I can steer you in the right direction. You could look in the pattern books in the fabric store for a box pleated design skirt pattern. That will give you the way to construct the basic design for the top of the bag. Once you get the top done, finishing the rest of the bag will just require you to adjust the size you want the bottom. The straps are easy enough to construct. Work with it a little. You'll figure it out.

It is not made of a lightweight fabric. A heavy weight fabric will hold its form better, so the creases will look sharper. Might use a heavyweight iron-on interfacing material to make the creases look sharper. Go to--- freepatterns.com---they have lots of gift idea's.
