I moved into an apartment a number of months ago. There are stains on my countertop left from a previous tenant. THEY DRIVE ME NUTS. Ive tried everything. I know my landlord won't replace the countertop. So is there a miracle solution to removing stains from it? Its your typical cheap countertop....

I use bleach or baking soda on my counter top. Try toothpaste also. Bleach has never taken the colour from my countertop either. Mix baking soda and peroxide and make a paste .rub it on the stain and let it sit for a while. Rinse off a small area to see if it has started to lift the stain or not.

Try a Mr. Clean Magic Eraser (or some generic version, you can get those pretty cheap). I have the same kind of white, cheap Formica and the Magic Eraser gets rid of lots of stains -- including coffee stains.

I assume you have formica countertops in an apartment. try a cleaner with bleach in it, like Fantastic w/ bleach, or even spray straight bleach on it.
There is also a "miracle cleaner" I found that cleans just about anything, I use it on my boat for grease and oil and anything else. Its called Super Clean, and you can get it at Wal Mart.

I would use some clorox cleanup and spray it all over the counter tops.Let it sit for about 15 minutes and repeat again. If it doesnt come out you can always try an sos pad with some comet. I hope it works for you!
