They are playing defense and can score at will? How far can they go?

I love the Warriors, but I'm afraid they had their chance last year and didn't cash it in (so it's over.) When you can see the top of the mountain you better keep going (aka...beat the Jazz) Don't expect them to pull the same magic...the west is way too tough.

As a Suns fan, I really do hope that Golden State knocks off Dalls in the first round. Realistically, though, the Mavs are just way too good for the Warriors and will probably win it in 6, even though Golden State is one of the best 8 seeds in recent history.

Yes they are for real !!!!

Their lineup present a matchup problem pretty much the whole NBA.

Baron Davis is a strong point guard that will be difficult for a Steve Nash or Tony Parker to defend.

They have enough core shooters that will be tough to defend and active guards (Azuibuke, Ellis) who have amazing speed and are good defenders.

The key will be getting Stephen Jackson healthy and Al Harrington contribute more consistently. Andres Biedrins takes care of the boards and give additional possession in the offensive glass.

My estimate is that GSW will win 46 - 50 games (6th or 7th seed) in the western conference. They will have problems when they face teams such as JAZZ, SPURS, ROCKETS who will slow down the pace and have very good low post presence.

If they get the Nuggets, Suns, or Mavericks in the 1st round they can advance and be successful

My prediction is that they will get the SPURS in the first round and they will lose in the 1st round

WEST predicted finish
1. SUNS 2. SPURS 3. JAZZ 4. MAVERICKS
5. ROCKETS 6. NUGGETS 7. WARRIORS 8. LAKERS

Utah is competing in the softest division. I won't be surprised if they get the #2 seed

I think they are 4 real but Its goin to be very hard for them to get out the first round this year. There is still teams in the west that are better than them. The Golden State Warriors are a good team but there not better than SA,PHX,UTA,HOU,and DEN.

Dallas they can beat because of bad match up problems.

you have to say that they are one of the top 4 teams in the west right now
they are playing better than dallas-- who just lost to the nuggets
they are 9-2 since stephen jackson has returned and they are healthy
they ave filled in the missing jason richardson link with Kelenna Azubuike-- and talk about filling in the blank
what more can you ask for from the warriors
they ve proven they can own the mavs
they ve proven they can out run my suns
they would abuse yao ming, theres no way he could keep up with the warriors pace
the only problems i see is with utah and san antonio

No they are not. Sorry Nellies coaching style will always fizzle out after the second round. And Miami blows too. THe Lakers will probably surprise people
