How to sell a product to retailers?

I make unique pillows. What would be the best way to market the product? Is there a company that takes products and "sells" them to the major retailers?

Copyright!?!? You sure as hell don't need a copyright. They are expensive, overrated, and are certainly no guarantee to making money!!!

What you need is a licensing agreement. That has nothing to do with a copyright. Major companies are always looking for an edge. They will make deals with you to cut you in on the profit so long as you have a worthwhile idea to present (license agreement). It is by no means easy but it can be done. These small to medium sized manufacturing companies are run by people that are no different than you or me. They are out there to make money just like you and me and they are willing to listen to your idea so long as it is a legitimate and marketable idea. If you want to do it on your own you are going to need to do a lot of investigating to find the right manufactors in your part of the country and then call them up. Tell them you have a great idea that they WILL be interested in. They are not going to welcome you in with flowers and truffles. But if you are persistent and you have a legitimate winner on your hands than eventually you will find a company that will give you what you are looking for.

Can you mass produce these pillows? And do you have a copyright on these pillows? If you do not have a copyright on the pillows before producing them you will not be making them for long. The Big Market folks will tell you what it will cost you to make them to the penny and tell you how much you will sell it to them for. Best of luck.
