Either God, Matter, or something else, do you agree that it is illogical to believe that something randomally came out of nothing?

Born from what? Yeah I've taken a few science classes in my time, and I'm pretty sure they don't know for sure how the universe was created. You have to love ignorance, lol.

I'm saying that we all agree that something hast to have always existed, right? I believe in either God or Matter to have always existed, because I don't think that something was created out of nothing. Or maybe it was just the universe that has always existed, but for some reason I doubt it.

I think that we cannot know. You see, our minds operate and make inference by way of cause and effect. However, all causes must take place in a temporal space, and since time and space are not independent it follows that causation is not independent from the Universe. This produces problems for us if we are to proceed with just reasoning in our enquires, as we intuitively think about the Universe being caused by something since every event is caused within the Universe. However we cannot speak of what happened before time, in fact, Stephen Hawkins says that to ask the question 'what happened before time' is like asking for a point that is south of the south pole, it is not defined. In a way, what you say is true, since the term 'always' is a term about time, and since time and space are not independent from one another, we can conclude that since there was time, there has also been space, and hence, something has always existed. However, given the context of your question I do not think that this is what you meant by that proposition. Hope that this helps.

While some of the quantum theories are indeed interesting, they still suggest the existence of something.

Modern science is based on the thoery of evolution and too suggests that something has preexisted. However much of science relies on 'educated' guesses often based on mathematics.

Religion is a man made construct utilized to understand live, death, etc. Thus, all of the mythical people in religions have been created by man.

This leads to your point that it is illogical that something randomly came into existence. However, our minds are limited in their abilities to understand. For instance eternity and infinity are not things that people really comprehend. We know what these words mean, but we can't really imagine them.

Being as such I would have to say that something has always existed. I only wonder where it came from...

well, as for me, there is something that have always existed and is never created or destroyed and he is God. well, to define on whether it is illogical or not is not that easy to answer but i would say that there is no such thing as something that randomly came out of nothing. well, basically, because there is a reason for each and every existence, with the reason being known or unknown. but one thing's for sure, that they exist for a purpose thus created/came out for a reason.

god bless! =)

Energy can not be created or destroyed. It can be transformed. And in the same way, perhaps God can be transformed. Maybe, we evolve to become God. Perhaps, millions of other humanoids have evolved to a god like status. It is kind of fun to think about. But we have a long way to go.

The concepts of "origin" and "death" are human ones. True permanence is indeed possible, despite human tendency to apply the human attributes of "lifespan" to the universe. Once a permanent substance is accepted, however, it's form varies somewhat randomly within the laws of physics.

no its not illogical, we didn't come out of nothing (you'd know that if you've ever taken a science class before). things aren't created by anyone, they're born. things aren't destroyed by anyone, they die.
