Keep on plodding... get up in the morning and look out the window to make sure I'm still on the green side of the grass... Go out and try to bring a little more of the Gospel light into this dark old world... Go to bed only to get up in the morning and do it again.

Do I sound bored?... You're wrong... I'm loving every minute of it... I'm busier than when I worked for a living... I am able to stop and smell the roses when I choose... And EVERY day is an ADVENTURE!

Getting older is better than the alternative. I always say that if you get up in the morning and can see the flowers instead of the roots, it's going to be a good day.

Not much has changed - I'm still young on the inside, as most of us on YA Seniors are. I'm a bit more assertive, more philosophical about life, less likely to take nonsense from people, more likely to stand up for what is right.

And - its certainly a far sight better than the alternative !

I am retired now. So I can sleep till whatever time I like. I have lots of friends, and some fun things to do.

Important thing now is to keep on reaching out, going out to be with others, volunteering some of my time to help others. I think it's a mistake to just sit home and knit.

Now I have retired, and I get to do what I want most of the time, and I love it! Time to do my artwork and jewelry, to work in my garden, to read all day if I want, and no pressure to go to work! And when my husband retires, time to travel a little, do some rockhounding and just explore life!

Now I have simplified my life. I have slowed down and am enjoying retirement. I can make wise cracks about the young and talk about how youth is wasted on them. Now I play cards, visit more with my friends, watch more TV, and play on my laptop. This is living. Now I am responsible for no one, but myself. If I'm not happy now it is my own fault.

Looking forward to retiring so I have more time to do the things I want like selling on Ebay, working my booth at the antique mall, and separating my perennials.

I know what is really important in life. I enjoy every moment with those I love. I don't let the little things get to me. I know that life moves on and I might as well move with it.

Live each day to the fullest, take life as it comes at me and learn something new everyday and love and enjoy my loved ones.

I want to leave my foot prints to my posterity.

"FOOT PRINTS IN HISTORY AREN'T MADE SITTING DOWN" unknown

At my age, I'm actively sitting down, but I do try to accomplish something worth while every day.
