I would wonder why this company tells you to add an additive? What is the purpose of it? And what additive are they asking you to place into it? I use a 50% to 50% antifreeze along with distilled water. Distilled water will not leave hard water deposits in the motor or cause it to rust as fast. Radiators last a lot longer without all the problems.

I have never heard of a reputable warranty calling to put an aftermarket additive to the cooling system. They only serve to clog the system and prevent proper function. I would question such a practice. What company is this "warranty" issued through? What product do they say to use? Something definitely sounds fishy here.

If it is what I think it is, that product actually is very good for your car, it is similar to the REDLINE Wetter. One of the main causes of failure in a cars engine is typically heat related, so alot of mechanics state if you can keep your engine running cooler, there is less of a chance of mechanic breakdowns. I have a few corvettes which have horrible cooling system, and corvette guys highly recommend these radiator additives to help keep them cooler. Just ask and make sure that is what it is, but being in the car business I have seen alot of extended warranty companies make you use this type of product, mainly on the 10year 100,xxx mile powertrain warranty. sounds to me like your car has a problem and they are trying to fix it out of a bottle so they don't have to pay a repair bill.
