We watch the politicians argue, we watch the wars and conflicts. But aren't we supposed to be different!? We are the next generation. It is our responsibility to take action. We cannot waste time in arguing and blame. The need calls for our generation to be different.

The first thing I thought after I read it was:
We are capable of thought, and therefore a revolution.

What does it make you think?

I don't think we are the first generation to think this, I know everyone has. Some people just need to be reminded of it. I just found it and it blew me away.

I know it probably won't happen, but what if teenagers all got together to make a difference? We could change the world. We could end wars, help with world starvation and global warming, the possibilities go on and on. I know it's probably never going to happen, but what if it did. What if we all just got off the computer, put down our games and cell phones, and went outside, discovered the world, did research, found out what was wrong with the world. I personally have found out the power we hold, I have gotten my school and most of the middle school to not use products tested on animals, all from a 5 minute project I did for a class. If everyone found a cause like that, we could make a big difference. I know it's wishful thinking, but I'm allowed to dream, right?

Not dream, I'm allowed to try and make a difference. I personally want to be a teacher, to educate the world, the most important job in my mind.

I have found my causes, animal activism and poverty, mental disorders, diseases, world hunger, AIDS/HIV, anything that affects my world I am involved in. I have written letters, made websites, started petitions, everything I can at the moment.

great.....now if only you could get all of the millions of other teens out there to think so as well, then something may change......but unfortunately, there is a me-complex running through our society...where we are individually more important that the whole...thus we tune out that which 'doesn't affect us'.
Glad to hear a teen thinks this way though!!

I think it's amazing for a teenager to be more conscience of the world around them. I think many things in this world have become corrupt and are needing large changes. America, the once proud nation founded for open minded opportunities, has become a different, more conservative "monster." I'd rather hear a kid speaking about their frustrations and wanting to make a change, instead of wasting their life or even taking their life / lives of others.
I wish I had done more as a teenager and maybe my path as an adult would be different and I could make a change. Now, I try as much as possible to help the legacy left behind.

When you look at my avatar you can guess
how old I am. I am so very glad we have
teens who are THINKING. I am so sick of
seeing teens who smoke weed, drugs, alcohol,
sloppy, wearing baggy a*s pants and don't
give a damn about anything or anybody except
themselves. Score one for Poopsie. You
get my vote.
PS: I, too love animals. I don't hunt or kill
any animals. I DO feed them from time to
time. I have some foxes that live in the woods
behind my house and I feed them from time to
time.

Big deal you never said one word that everyone hasn't heard before or thought of. As always all talk and no action. Gets boring after a while!!

I think that most of the new generation has had their minds warped by electronics, so they do not care about reality. This revolition you talk about would be awesome and I'm all for it, but most of our army are playing video games and not spending time outside!

yes your generation needs to be alert to what's coming!!!! if your old enough to vote, make sure you know what you are doing. remember you will be paying tax's, and buying gas, groceries, etc. and if you don't want to end up broke, watch who you vote for. don't let the health care hillery's talking about sway you, she is evil and a lier, big time!!!!! she keep's changing her mind. and yelling about women's rights, we all ready have enough rights's, we used to be one nation under GOD!!! what happened?????

One is capable of great thought. Many are not. Mass-media disinformation(for lack of a better word at the moment) is easier than it should be.
