Ignore John C...his response is opinionated rhetoric, not a researched answer. Obama's plan is better because he proposes not to mandate health issurance plans (except for children) and the overall costs would be lower than Clinton and Edwards plans.

Both Edwards and Clinton want to mandate health insurance for all Americans which would cost ~$90 to ~$120 billion per year. Obama's plan amounts to ~$50 to ~$60 billion per year. Both Edwards and Clinton plans in theory would cover more Americans than Obama's, because you are mandating health issurance coverage for everyone. (Truthfully speaking, all the plans proposed by Edwards, and Clinton are not universal health care plans in that doesn't actually cover 100% of Americans. Obama has termed his health plan to a universal access health care plan).

But with the Edwards and Clinton plans the question becomes a matter of enforcement. If someone doesn't have (or want) health issurance how will they be made to get coverage? Both Hillary and Edwards don't explain this. Either you will pay a penalty each time you are caught without health issurance and/or risk having you wages garnished to pay for health issurance are the real answers. Obama, Edwards, and Clinton plans raise taxes. Much of the costs are supposed to paid for by repealling the Bush tax cuts to wealthy Americans. Most of the other details are similiar regardless if its Obama, Edwards or Clinton.

John Edwards has a detailed plan which will work. Baracka Hussein Obama,Jr. has only uttered the same old rhetoric, "We need universal health care" which everyone including the village idiot knows, but fails to tell how we get there. I'm sure Husseins' handlers are going to come up with a plan which will appear quite similar to Edward's plan, and this is becoming the infamous hallmark of the Obama campaign, copying the honest works and efforts of others.

Pretty sure Edwards has had his on the back burneer for a while, like 4 years, as far as Obama have not seen a detailed plan yet, but most have not. Take care.

All the Democrats plans require the raising of taxes, and will provide marginal health care.
Edwards plan scares me more than most, because his plan would require that each and every American see the doctor, dentist and psychologist every year.
I believe that this is a gross infringement of our rights. I believe that we have the right to decide when and if we need to see a doctor of any kind.
If this kind of requirement is enacted, it won't be long before they are monitoring our bowel habits as well.
This is entirely too much government interference.

Edwards is a better plan, but something needs to be done, so either will probably address the issue at hand.

Well Barack Obama has a detailed plan for affordable universal healthcare for all Americans, while keeping our taxes manageable

John Edwards has a similar plan, but is not as passionate

I like Obama's plan better. For those who say he doesn't have a plan, it helps if you research so you can get your facts straight.
Obama's Plan to Cover the Uninsured. Obama will create a new national health plan to allow individuals without access to affordable insurance coverage to buy coverage similar to that available to members of Congress.
If you are really interested in the facts you may see the entire plan at:

How about Dennis Kucinich? He has a proposal for health care as well! Have you considered his proposal?
