That is the founding pillar of the United States. It has been a pursuit not a given. Many lives have been lost in guaranteeing that those were not just hypocritical feel good words against iniquity.

The preamble to the Constitution tells us that we must live by the laws as they where intended in the Constitution.

All men are ceated equal. It took way to long for us as a nation to see this to fruition. Still today people are judged, and berated because of their race, gender, or religion.

We are endowed with certain unailienable rights. Remember, we ALL have rights, so the government must ensure that ones "pursuit of happiness" does not impede anothers.

I may be off subject, but, I dont think that "In God We Trust" on a dollar bill, takes any rights away from an athiest, just as I support ones right not to believe in any supreme being. This is their individual right.

I think that some misused the preamble to object to the above motto.

This country is also a country of laws, it is NOT ones right (Pursuit of happiness) to be an anarchist and ignore all laws.

I am not sure what you want. What exactly is your point. I agree that no one has a right to be happy. But pursuit is okay, but what we call happy today, is that what they called it back then? It is very ambiguous.
If the the guy next door is happy using a chain saw at 3 in the morning, is that okay. Not by me, I want to sleep. So one person's rights will be abrogated? I don't think it was meant that way. I do think some parts are so outdated.

to the "All men are created equal thing?" If so then easily, because all men(meaning male and female) are not created equal. its complete crap to think they are. Last i checked that guy born into a poor family with an I.Q. of 80 isnt equal to the upper middle class guy born with an I.Q. of 140 :/ And historically there are race issues with certain races being treated unequally with others.(no really?) and you ARE born with a race :/

If all are truly created equal, then why is marriage defined by a man and a woman, legally speaking? After all, if they are truly equal, it shouldn't matter the sex of the parties to a marriage. It should be two adult parties, regardless of sex, that comprize a legal marital union.
