Applying for a supervisors position in the same company I work for now. I was told by many of the other current supervisors that I would be perfect for the position and should go for it. Well now that my interview is done, I was told I would not get a second because I have trouble with words ending in "ING" and that I looked good at the interview maybe I should try for a another position lower then the one I currently hold. Customers I work with have never complained they can't understand me or nor have any of my coworkers who I communicate with frequently for my position. What are my opitions? Should I complain to a higher up or could I sue?

Your employer can let you go for any reason and can also not promote you for any reason. Your only alternative is to find work elsewhere.

You can't sue until you know who they hire for the position. Even then, it just depends on who that person is what what qualifications they have for the job. You do have a problem with grammar, which is obvious from your writing here. The answer you got might not be "bogus" at all. That might be what truly is the difference between you and the person who got the job. Instead of being negative about this, you should use it as a learning experience. Use it to improve yourself and capitalize on it.

i think of you in basic terms replied your guy or woman question by potential of asserting your activity is fairly tense. Make a metamorphosis very quickly and get faraway from that employer. Managers use all varieties of BS and lies to settle a project. they could be useful understand that is employer coverage that is nice to artwork there for one 300 and sixty 5 days in the previous you're seen for a promoting. that is absolute BS because of the fact a employer will consistently sell an extremely solid worker very straight away to make effective they don't lose that worker. Are you a solid worker or is your rigidity affecting your activity and the different persons around you?? possibly they are hoping you will only quit in the previous they could desire to fireside you. hi, it is the actual international. It hurts. in basic terms you already know the actual answer.

It depends on whether or not your employer has a grievance process. Contact your human resources office and find out what your company's policies are so you don't get in any further trouble or terminated for violating company policy.

I wouldn't recommend you sue your company for obvious reasons. However, if there is a grievance policy file one, and if it doesn't work look for another job.

sounds like grounds of discrimination, talk to your human resources dept. or go further to the government and see what you can do. Since it doesnt look like they will promote you, and thats what you want to do, i would look elsewhere for an employer
