Take a sample of its stool to a local reptile veterinarian for identification. Then the vet can prescribe the correct medication. Reptiles often have more than one kind of parasite, and most are too small too see and must be found microscopically. The vet may need to see the lizard to weigh it for proper dosing.

take it to the vet. they will give it medicine. And since you already know it has parasites then you probably won't have to get it checked, you can just pay for the medicine to treat the problem.

probably a ring worm.
and usually "panacur" will be the med required.
but since it's very strong, without a vet supervision, you are most likely will poison your lizard with it.

o BTW, tell your friend to be extremely sanitary with his pet.
He will require to do a major cage cleaning and disinfecting them with bleach.

If he doesn't want the parasites to infect his other pets including himself and his families.
