ur too young for a street bike at 16. there is no such thing as a fender bender on a bike, and all it takes is just a slight graze from some idiot not paying attention, and he will run right over top of u. u'd best learn situational awarness in a car. u wont get a 2nd chance usually on a bike. btw, better price insurance first, and if u so much as hint sport bike to an agent, u wont be able to ride either....cause the insurance will be about 3x's above the price of the bike.

You have to get ur auto license before you get a motorcycle license.
Get ur auto license, then spend $10 for a motorcycle permit, and you must pass the motorcycle question test, the permit is good for one year, the only restrictions is yo must wear a helmet, not permitted to ride a passenger, and not permitted to ride the bike from 12AM to 5AM.
When you have ur permit, schedule a motorcycle driving test, pass that test, ( you have 3 try ) then you have a full motorcycle license, the only restriction is you must wear a helmet for 2 years

I'm in PA "Tom B" is correct on all but one thing. You do not a auto drivers license first to get a bike license. PA DOT has provisions for a bike only license.
