So Inorder to save this money for room and for Car . I Been looking for a small; job . Today I got a job at Loews looking after the plants , part time 20 hours / week - 10 dollars..

After I got home from the ( small interview ) , One of the previous consulting agencies that I worked for called me saying She has a project for me for 20 dollars an hour , But from the sound of it ( as of right now ) it's only for a day , On monday .( the day when my "Plant job at loews starts " ) Then the rest of the job she's not sure of yet. [ it's to upgrade All of the Target ( the store ) computers , so it's a sure job , But just not sure when it's gona start yet, other than for that one day - on Monday . .. ( plus it's good money ) ]

Now anyway I was home just thinking about my day , and This employer with whom I had an interview for a Technician Job , leaves me a mesage saying he might have something for me . So i called back , seems like his secretary quit due to some personal problems and he's going crazy .. So I set up a meeting wth him at his office tommorow at 10 . 00 . He said he's gona go over the salary and go thru stuff..

The last one is most probably a steady one. Do you think I should Chose this one ?

I am confused, Because I haven't had this many choices to chose from ( Job wise ) in my life..

I am thinking go with the last one ( the secretary job , I mean - the pay can't be that bad rt ) , and then just do the Consulting ( upgrading Target computers job ) On monday.. I guess this job will be steady at least , is that something I must think about ?

What do you think ?

Go for the steady job. If it turns out that it isn't what you want, apply for other jobs while you are working. People usually come off more self-confident if they have a job than when they are not working. Good luck.

Go for the one that has long term benefits. But you have to consider your daily expenses (gas, distance, food allowances, uniforms or office clothes, etc) - until a contract is presented - and you've read the conditions of the contract - you can still choose from the three. Which ever makes a solid offer with long term benefits should be the right choice. Secondly, you have to remember - if you like the job. Because if you don't like the job, it will suck big time even if the pay is good, your productivity and job performance will suffer. Good luck!

I just went through this in October with 2 jobs, One was for a family business that I really liked all the people and was very interested in when I started interviewing but it was a long process and I started temping at another job while waiting to hear, the other job approached first asking me to join their firm when the family business called asking me to join. I chose the one that was best for me and my family long term, the family business was not paying as well, did not pay holidays etc.. The firm pays much better and holidays and is run by a single mother who may (turns out is) more understanding to my situation (also single mom) and therefore a little more flexible. But it just about broke my heart to turn down the family business. I almost took the job based on not wanting to hurt their feelings as opposed to keeping my current job which is better for me and my family. Go with your gut and what is best for YOU! at the end of the day its you who has to go to work every day and pay your bills every month.. Loews will find another part-timer if that's your decision. Business is Business

I would go for the last job because it is steady. Then, when the target job comes thru, if it pays more money and is steady then you can take that one. but for right now, go for the sure thing
