I have washed it in the hottest setting & dried it at the hottest setting several times, left it in the dryer purposely, even put it in the sink with boiling hot water. nothing is working!! I would really like to wear it tomorrow but it's just too big, any other ideas on shrinking?

Apparently the cotton was preshrunk. You aren't going to get anymore reduction.

The dryer is the biggest culprit. When I have anything I don't want to shrink I am sure to hang it to dry. Sometimes this leaves your clothes a little stiff and wrinkly, 'though, so when this is the case you can take the dry item and toss into the dryer on air fluff or even low heat for a few minutes, and then it will be as soft as if it had been dried, but without the shrinkage!

If you've washed it hot water and dried it on the hottest setting repeatedly, I'm not sure there's much else you can do.

Sorry, but if you've already gone to that extreme, anymore shrinkage would have to come from repeating that process over time.

Got a sewing machine? That would be about the only way at this point.
