Yes, I have along with my 3 children who were 10, 8, and 6 at the time. My husband decided that he no longer wanted to be married, so instead of telling me he wanted a divorce, he had me evicted from our house, which was in his name only. I couldn't believe he would actually go through with it, until the sheriff showed up and put us out and made me leave the property. We stayed in a motel a few nights until I could find us a place to live and I then rented a house. He moved his girlfriend in 2 weeks after we were put out.

Yes this really happened and we are fine now. Luckily, I had a job and our own means of support. Last year, I bought a home for us, no longer renting! But yes it did make me a much stronger person, but you are right, at the time, I really did think it was going to kill me.

Yeah, my parents kicked me out when I was 16. I stayed with a friend for awhile until we patched things up.

Yup. But there was enough notice given so my family was able to make arrangements. That was in 1989.
