Two that if always loved since I was a kid are Make the World Away by Eddy Arnold and I Can't Stop Loving You by Ray Charles from the early sixties. I don't think I turned country I've always listened to it all my life. I remember playing my Dad's old Johnny Horton 45 rpm records we I was about 4 or 5 years old.

"Here for the Party" - Gretchen Wilson
Actually that was the first country CD I bought. I think it was probably a tie between hearing Dolly Parton cover John Lennon's "Imagine" and hearing "Beautiful Mess" by Diamond Rio. Also, "No Shirt, No Shoes, No Problem", by Kenny Chesney.
