Someone i was in love with would have respected me enough to be honest long before the day before a wedding. So no.

Unless the he/she just found out then that is a big deception -
I would halt the wedding while I thought about whether I truly was ready to take on that much and underwent some counseling to decide.

It is not necessarily the fact that the person has AIDS but the lack of transparency with someone he/she proclaims to love. What else has this person hidden/what else would they hide?

There are two issues here:
(1) AIDS is a serious and expensive disease, even with the currently available medications. Are you ready to take on a caregiving relationship that will last years and as a spouse potentially put yourself at risk? The emotional and financial cost is very high.

(2) The lack of truthfulness and forthrightness here is appalling. You can't trust this person to tell you the full honest truth. No WAY would I marry a person that is so dishonest.

I would ask him/her in Lew of this breaking news, to give you at least 1 month to research, the disease. You know you are marring only till Death [literally] do you part ? There can be No children of this union.{natural} you could of course adopt. But then you are bringing a child into a devastating death sentence also. It takes a strong person to accept anyone who you know will die in a few years. How much happiness can that bring to you ? But then again how much are you willing to sacrifice to make the other half of you the happiest they can be, for however much time they could have left here on earth. Who will be there to pick up the pieces of your
Broken Life when it's over my child?....

No. And not because he has Aids but because he waited until the last minute to tell me. If he loved me and trusted and believed that I loved him then he would have told me as soon as he found out. I would look at it as a con game. He would figure if he waited all the way up until the day b4 the wedding then I would cave. WRONG!!! jOKE'S ON HIM!!!

No.If my fiance truly loved me the same way I loved him, respected me the same way as I respected him,he wouldn't wait till the day before our wedding to tell me such a thing. If he can keep some thing as big like that from me,god only knows what other things he is keeping from me,as well as things in the future.I wouldn't be able to trust him as far as I can throw him(which wouldn't be to far).

Yes, of course I would. If I love them, AIDS isn't going to stop me from being with them... although I'd HOPE that they would have told me some time before the day before the wedding.

question.. how would you not know.. your not talking HIV.. you said AIDS... like 30+ pills a day and very visible signs that there is something wrong.. besides in todays situations where people live with eachother and commonly sleep with eachother before marriage..

besides those points... i think id be a little shocked.. prolly delay.. but im not sure past that.. it is quite a bomb to drop on a person..

well, Idk... because that's something they should have told me a loooong time ago, before the commitment... and it's a pretty rocky relationship if they don't think they can tell you their deepest darkest secrets in order to keep you safe... and still give you time to decide and be understandning if you don't want to go through with it... it's a tough call, but I think I would have TRUST issues, it's not about the AIDS.

Nope, and AIDS isn't the issue, why didn't he tell me this vital information long before our wedding.

Liars have no place in my life, ontop of giving me aids, there's no question i would have her/him in jail for ending my life, even if it's 10 years down the road.
