Your premise is not entirely accurate. Fox News is not exactly a source of real information. My guess is the rabid rightwing will always tune into shock talk radio, which is neither a source of real info. LOL
Democrats don't actually "own" any of the major news orgs. In these outlets, it's the executives and editors that calls the shots in order to preserve the illusion of objectivity, no matter the political affliation of the newsanchors themselves. Thus, it is highly unlikely a very liberal or leftist opinion would be allowed to air, much less given much credence (whereas with Fox News, which panders to the far right, no matter how out-of-touch their views are). Otherwise, the "mainstream" media will remain relatively "centrist," swinging slightly to the left or right depending on whatever party is in power or the collective mood of the sheeple at a given time.

Thanks! You have really advanced the level of public discourse in this country with your pathetic stereotyping of Republicans. Wow! You are an open minded tolerant individual to be sure.
Your question is so ridiculous and sad. Why not check out the demographics of Fox viewers...it may surprise you.
What is really going on is you have bought in to a cariacature of Fox by those who oppose its philosophy of offering a more balanced view of the news. Does Fox tilt right? Only slightly. But it doesn't begin to balance the rest of the TV media which is blatantly, depressingly, obnoxiously, and dangerously left wing.

Ha! Impossible. Republicans, the protectors of America, having only one news source!? I assume you've never heard of the fact that Republicans can talk to each other with mind waves.

Talk radio (excluding NPR and Airhead America) would be the only source of true media reporting in this country.

You have it correct, Fox News is the Beacon of Truth and most (if not all) others news organizations are bastions of liberal propaganda.

Anyone who depends upon mainstream corporate media is misinformed, dis-informed, and has voluntarily placed themselves at the mercy of biased propagandists.

the government would start to own all the tv channels like they do in communist countries. um on second thought aren't the news media already somewhat controlled by the US government? i dunno, it's for this reason i refuse to watch the news and rely on international media.
