I have come across very few that are completely free. They might try to dress it up as free, then somewhere there is a "Buy Plan $9.99" button of some legal mumbo jumbo about copyright this or copyright that.

I don't know about online, but The Home Depot has free classes at the stores. But ANYTHING that says free is designed to get you into their store (or site) so you can buy the things you need from them.
