When making purchases with your credit card on the Internet, make sure the website that you purchase from has a valid, "VeriSign". This sign means that the site has been tested and uses good crypto, when transmitting the data from your credit card. (Myself I would stay away from any site that uses, "Pay Pal". Hackers have broken into their system many times.

Have good anti virus/antispyware along with a good firewall in your own system.

The actual key is to practice safe surfing & credit card use on the internet. Common Sense.
