Well on Christman day, I have a similar day as Christmas day, except that's the day I don't have to put up with my relatives and over-endulge myself with cakes and pastries. Mostly on Christman day I sit around watching television and very glad I have a moment to be by myself.

Evergreens are brought inside to remind us of life. We decorate them with lights because in late December the days (daylight hours) are very short. We need reminders of warmth and growing things.
It is typically considered a Pagan custom, honoring the rebirth of the sun, or the spirit of nature as God, represented by the tree that never dies.
It has nothing to do with the Christian holiday of Christmas other than habit and the time of year Yule (Dec 22) and Christmas (Dec 25) fall on.

I don not put mine up on Christmas day. We usually put ours up the weekend after Thanksgiving.
But to answer your question, It is called holiday spirit and some people think they look nice. Where else would you put the presents??
P.S. Maybe if you were a bit more polite in your post, people would answer you better. Honestly it just made me think of you a fool if your asking us for our help, but are being a jerk about it to us? Don't think you are going to get much responses with an attitude like that!

My Christmas Tree, is already up been up since last week. I have an artifical tree, it is decorated and it looks good. It's Christmas time, why do we need a reason, just because I felt like it.

I think it started as a tradition, but not we can't stop doing it because its more for the kids now.
It also represents gifts in a wierd way.
I know if i saw a shitload of presents by themselves, it wouldnt look as festive as if it was under a tree!

We put a star on the top of our tree so that Jesus knows that we love him, but you would understand it more if you were a Christan but some people put angles on there tree so that they know that someone is always there to watch over them.

You might put yours up on that day but, there are people ahead of you. Like a week or two ahead. That's just too much work for one day. No ?

I don't know about you but I actually put up my tree after Thanksgiving, and I do it because it's a tradition and it's a beautiful thing.
