1. Can you cry under water?
2. How come you IN a movie but ON t.v why not the other way around?

1) Yes you can cry underwater. Crying is a way of expressing an emotion, not the tears themselves.
2) A person is not IN T.V. because a television tangible and, if big enough, a person can actually be inside of a television set, so to avoid confusion, we say a person is ON T.V., but we can say a person is IN the show and a person can be either IN or ON a movie.

Yup, I can cry in water (actually all human beings can) as uncontrollable emotion is a part of human senses
Your second one, it was superb( your question), and i think because of a TV is small therefore you are on a tv and the opposite for a theatre....

I believe you can still cry underwater, ariel did in the little mermaid
and I was in tv one time and got stuck... being on a movie can break it if it's a DVD or VHS....
Nah, seriously.. Your body will still create tears I think(kind of like how people can still pee underwater..)
and I guess it's the way we use our words as far as movies/tvs go...

no, you breathe when you cry--crying is not just shedding tears. You would inhale water in drown. If you had tears they would just mix into the water

2. You don't go IN a movie, you go INTO a movie theatre. You wouldn't go ON TV because then you personally would be on the screen.

1. yes. people do this to hide their tears. it doesn't really work tho, b/c their face looks like they are crying.
2. just cause it sounds weird.
