Some of my study tips:
1) I have long hair, so I put it up in a ponytail to get my hair out of my face. It's also easier for me to concentrate.
2) Once you finish reading this, get off of Yahoo! Answers. Get OFF! Now! Haha. Seriously. I know it can be addicting/a distraction, but take my word for it. Don't use it as an excuse for a break. Don't be tempted to procrastinate.
3) Get MOTIVATED! Pick your favorite thing to do every day in your free time. For example listening to your iPod. Make a commitment. Make a goal: "If I don't finish studying by 8:00, then I can't listen to my iPod tonight." Pursue your goal. Follow through. If you are easily lost by time, set a timer. Set a time for maybe 7:00 and say to yourself that you should be halfway done. If not, you need to pick up the pace.
4) Make a study guide on Word, and print it out. You can do this by typing up things in your textbook, copying and pasting things from the Internet, and more. You can study it throughout the day. In the morning, on the bus, in the car on the way to school, second period, at lunch, etc. You have soo much spare time that you may not even realize it. It really helps. =) I do it all the time, and it helps refresh your memory right before your test.
Good luck, and hope I've helped!

The first thing to do would be establishing what type of learner you are. Are you an audio learner? Meaning, do you retain information better when you hear someone say it or when you repeat it out loud?
Are you a visual learner? Do you have to draw pictures and diagrams to help you understand the material?
Are you a kinesthetic learner? Maybe you have to write the information out over and over again till you remember.
After finding the method that works for you, it's important to disperse your studies over a period of time. To truly learn information, it must in long term memory which is why studying a little each day is better than cramming it into one day. Thats why when you cram, you're able to pour out all the info the next day but can rarely retain after the exam.

Try first reading through your class notes on the computer(just read thru them don't try to memorize). Then, wait about 1/2 hour, and go back thru the notes trying to remember key points, the wait anothr 1/2 hour. The last time u go thru notes, try to remember a little more.
Get a good nite's sleep.

Attendance comes first. do no longer omit training or days at school except it somewhat is absoutely needed. there is advice given at school which you could not get later. save notes and handouts prepared, and so as. once you're given a handout, positioned the date on the coolest so it continues to be in the excellent order on your binder. in case you ought to study and make notes on a financial disaster, do it real away, the comparable nighttime. do no longer enable analyzing assignments pile up; in certainty, do no longer positioned something off. in case you proceed to exist good of it, you do no longer ought to rigidity approximately going under. in case you do no longer understand some thing or are suffering, get help real away. do no longer provide up till that instructor has helped you paintings it out. the only stupid question is the single that's no longer asked. I hate to assert it, yet instructors are human, and while they grade paintings their emotions proper to the student do come into play to a small degree. do no longer grub for grades, make a pest of your self, act up at school or do the rest which will decrease your instructor's opinion of you. evaluation periodically in the process the term - you would be greater effectual arranged for tests. commence analyzing early for tests, and don't learn the nighttime earlier a attempt or the day of it. in case you do no longer are conscious of it by making use of then, you haven't any longer executed it real. do no longer cram. learn in an area that has each little thing you like. there is no ought to do away with television, song, and so on. except it interferes with your concentration. some scholars learn greater effectual with a splash bit activity around them, others want absolute quiet. verify what works for you. Time administration is extreme. Set a term to do homework and learn it somewhat is consistent, and don't bypass previous it. Say from 7 - 9 p.m. it is after dinner, and enables you to observe a splash television, study, get waiting for mattress, and nonetheless get to sleep early. it somewhat is needed have a series time table and carry on with it, or your study will run away with you and you gets burned out. enable issues bypass. while you're hung up on a thirteen/20, you're no longer specializing in getting a a tactics better mark on the subsequent element. do no longer belabor your paintings - if the essay is executed, and it seems solid, enable it bypass, do no longer save determining on at it. Perfectionism and obsessiveness will do you in while you're no longer careful. it is approximately all i'm able to think of of, wish it enables, and function a solid 12 months!

Get a good night's sleep. Eat yourself, a healthy breakfast in the morning. Above all, don't stress your self out to much. You will do fine.
