I don't know about you, but my experience with conversations with men is that they mostly grunt. Usually ticks me off. So, easier? No. Results in chair cushion on head? Yes.
The really funny thing is that they don't grunt when you tell them that you are using his credit card to buy a $500 TV. Nope. Didn't grunt at all like he did when I asked if he vacuumed.

Study Human Evolution
Early Hominins use to grunt to communicate with each other but due to the development of their brain structure and size we have a highly developed Wernicke's and Broca's Area which help with speech production and speech recognition.
We can also use facial expressions to communicate but I prefer to stick with words as people can easily understand what I'm trying to say. A grunt could mean anything.

Why do we even write, I mean isn't easier if everybody gave hand signs to each other to read a book?
If you get my point, that's why talking is easier than grunting!

Grunt grunt grunt grunt grunt.
Translation: If we didn't speak, there would be no communication. Everything would be chaotic, and YA would fail to even exist. How horrible is that?!

The answer is obvious, if everyone grunted how would you have asked this question in the first place? My goodness there probably wouldn't be a net here to ask the question on.

No, it makes communicating easier if we actually form words. If we just grunted, we'd never understand each other.

We need to communicate for certain things. The world is now better being about to talk. If we weren't able to talk the world would be lonely & boring.
It's a good thing we talk. Really good. At least at points. lol
