wax on carpet!?

omg i just spilled candle wax on our new black carpet. and when i was trying to wipe it it spread all over and now it's not coming off. i have no experience with candle waxes.how can i remove it without damaging the carpet??

once it is dry. take part of a brown paper bag, put it over the wax. get your iron out and iron over those areas. Repeatedly check the other side of the bag to see if it is picking up the wax.

freeze it with ice, brush it out when frozen, or harden,
