okay you set it up as a proportion

1554/x = 25/100

cross multiply and solove for x. you get 6216

same with the nxt problem -

x/404750 = 2/100

cross multiply and solve

567/x = 63/100

same again.

1. lets the number is x
so, 25/100 (x)=1554
x=6216

2. lets the number is s
so, 2/100 x 404750=s
s=8095

3. lets the number is k
so, 567=63/100 x k
k=900

1,554 is 25% of 6216. since, 25% is one-fourth, we multiply by four to find the original number.

2% of 404,750 is 8095, because you multiply by 2/100, or you can divide by one hundred and multiply that number by two.

and finally, 567 is 63% of 900, you multiply 567 by 100, then divide by 63.

"is" is =
"of" is "times"

1554 = 25% • x
1554 = (25/100)x = (1/4)x
4(1544) = x
6176 = x

x = 2% • 404750
x = 2(404750)/100 = 404750/50 = 8095

567 = (63/100)x
567(100/63) = x
900 = x

Think about it this way:

let x=the number

.25x=-1554
divide by .25

x=-6216

next:

.02 x 404750

8095

let y equal second number

567=.63y
