one thing i would suggest is for the 9th and 7th graders to help a family has to sometimes work together to make ends meet invite the teens on a working day knocking on doors to mow there lawns, rack leaves, or shovel snow be creative and tell your girl its not the end of the world she will only be stronger in the end

I really feel the pain there... I am married, we both have an income, we have 2 children and our debt sucks... I feel as though we are living on the edge of a financial downfall. I am very shy and get nervous easily and I have spent years looking for some miracle. Upon finding out that I am ill and the future is unknown from this illness I decided I had to do something and anything to get us out of debt incase I can no longer work. I have finally found my way out of this downward spiral. I pulled myself off of the couch one night to go to a jewelry show I knew I couldn't buy anything at. At this show I found my future being debt free. I didn't know it at the time but I figured what the heck I will give it a shot. After one week I have made a good sum and I am sure the income will go up and down but the fact that it is a good income and whatever you put into it is how well you will succeed. I am talking of Lia Sophia Jewelry. www.liasophia.com/ldennett if you would like to read more about it. It is only an option and by no means would I tell you to step into something you would not be comfortable doing (or the person you are talking about) all I can say is after only a couple weeks my life is changing. Being there for support for your girlfriend is all you can really do. life is tough sometimes.. even though listening is all you can do I am sure it helps her in some ways. Also, Dave Ramsey gives a lot of financial advice. He has a website too. He helps people take baby steps to get out of debt.

Sounds like they need a roommate to share adult costs. Also, she can have child support modified every 2 yrs. (raising it) if there has been a change. Usually, the ex husband would have had a raise within 2 yrs and this should increase child support. Also, the Mom should go through the Adult & Family services to see if there are different benefits allowed that would assist her. Food stamps, medical, etc. That is where she should begin, especially with the food situation.
