I'm sure your @#$%^ parents will sue the teacher for touching their precious.
Was it legal for you to disrupt her class?
Was it legal for you to act like a dumb @$$?
You're one of what is wrong with today's society.

They're really not supposed to aggressively handle kids unless they're completely out of control. Many teachers have been fired for physically accosting their students. When you think about it, if they're going to try to overpower you physically then you've got a right to defend yourself.
However you lose a lot of leverage in this case because your behavior was obviously childish and challenging her authority, so she dealt with you as she would a small child. If you had just put away the tootsie rolls or attempted a peaceful negotiation instead of running away and shoving it into your mouth then you'd have gotten a much better reaction. Physical escape leads to physical pursuit. If you didn't do any of those childish actions and she still came up and grabbed you trying to wrestle some candy away then she might be in a lot of trouble.

The easy and quick answer is no but the school district has it's rules and as long as they are aware of the situation, all done.
The other answer, a good thing she did and she should have done more, like maybe shove it down your throat! How inconsiderate of you towards the teacher and the other students. Bad behavior should never be condoned. This teacher did the right thing in my mind even if in todays society she could wind up in jail!
What can you do about it? GROW UP and become a contributing member of the class, not just a jacka.....!

Ok, I noticed part of your avatar said you were in HIGH SCHOOL...HS, not elementary school. Wow, you are pretty immature. You pushed this poor woman's buttons. And probably was mouthing off at her as well.
Ethically, teachers aren't supposed to touch stupents. But, obviously she had no problem with plenty of witnesses around. I think my 4 year old did the same thing with tootsie rolls and it was funny to be BECAUSE HE WAS 4! Not 13-14.
Good luck reporting her. She will make your life a living h*ll.
Plus their are probably plenty of students that will defend HER, not you.

instructors can touch scholars. there is not any regulation forbidding all people from touching yet another individual. this is purely ludicrous. There are regulations that say a instructor won't be able to hit you, and that a instructor won't be able to molest you. Many instructors and somewhat some people customarily will touch somebody's shoulder in the event that they are interior of sight/bent over your ought to finding at your artwork, and so on. that's a typical action.

You are the one who was acting like an idiot and you wonder if the teacher has a right to put her hand on you.?You disrupt a whole class with your sick comedy and you don't feel you did wrong? Things may have changed regarding corporal punishment or touching but stupid is still stupid. Don't you have any respect for any one including your self.? Do you know what you can do about it? SHAPE UP FAST!!!!

First off, I love your avatar name. I went to a Milton High School over 30 years ago.
Now, I don't think in today's LIBERAL school system that a teacher can "man handle" you for any reason. I used to be a teacher and we weren't allowed to do it back then and it's even worse now but you'd have to look it up in the regulations for teachers to make sure.
Good luck and tough luck about the "Tootsie Turd".

You could stop acting like a little turd in class - show some respect and apologize to your teacher for your behavior.
If you were my child the teacher "touching" you would be the least of your concerns! You wouldn't see daylight, the computer, television, or anything that vaguely resembled fun for weeks and weeks.

I dont know about the district that you live in but it is not ethical for teacher to touch a student. Dont know about illegal, but definitely not ethical. I work closely with youth and I would never touch one for any reason (unless in defense, I work with felons). I would have your parents look into the situation with an attorney. I know it is terribly immature, but I had to laugh at your story. The turd thing is really funny. I had a crappy day and that really made me laugh hysterically.

Well, what the teacher did was "assault". She really had no right to grab you as she did and I don't think it would be such a bad idea to report her. If she was mad and you were being disruptive then she should have just sent you to the Principal's office.
I can't believe you got suspended for 3 days for this!! OMG.
Who did you hurt? I mean, kids in fights get the same sentence.
Go to your Principal and report her actions.

there are laws against it..but you deserved every bit of it. and unless she bruised you or somehow "hurt" you then you can't do anything about it. but your best be would be to quit acting like such a turd and do what she tells you.
and GROW UP!
