How would you solve the gun problem in the US?

I would destroy all weapons except for those by the military and since we now have weapon that are less lethal then what we're using on the street I would allow gun shots to sale only these type of weapons. I believe murder will drop drastically because when you have to face down a person it's a lot harder then when you can stand back and shoot them to death.

The families of the victims need to suit the crap out of the school s and the mall owners. For preventing people from being able to defend themselves. By putting up signs the mall owners in Nebraska made it illegal for people to carry guns for personal protection. Criminals know this and dont pay attention to No guns allowed signs. All these shootings occur in places where law abiding citezens are prohibited from having firearms. The mall shooting in Utah was stopped because someone chose not to obey the law and happened to be nearby with a weapon. I for one will allways carry my handgun whether there is a sign there or not. I refuse to be a helpless victim because some idiot thinks putting a "No GUns Allowed" sign will keep the bad guys out.

There is no gun problem, just a people problem. All violent offenders looking at 10 or more years in prison should be placed on a lottery. When your number comes up, there's no appeal--just a few hours till the execution. Relieve prison crowding and no one knows who or when.
