HE SAID I MIGHT SING GOD BLESS THE USA...and he did at the end, but i was P O'd what's the deal, i would'nt have gone to see him @ CHISTMAS TIME if i'd known that, he even SAT IN A CHAIR SURROUNDED BY CHRISTMAS TOYS and READ US TWO CHRISTMAS STORIES..HUH???? I kinda stay away from concerts around this time of year for that very reason. Not that I don't like Christmas songs, but If I spend 50+ dollars on tickets I want to hear Country/Tejano or what ever I paid good money for.

Okay, here come all the thumbs downs again, but I'm not a big fan of Christmas songs! I generally can't wait for the Christmas season to be over with, so that I no longer have to listen to them. I, too, love Lee Greenwood, but if I had to spend an entire evening listening to Jingle bells, and Up On the House Top, I would have to tell everyone that my babysitter was sick and it was crucial that I return home, ASAP. Luckily, I've not had the misfortune to experience that situation.

Yes! I like Mannhiem Steamroller as a change of pace, there's not much music I DON'T like. Same thing, they didn't do one song that wasn't a Christmas song, Had a tree & train set, everything for the holidays, I wanted to hear some of the other stuff they do. The Christmas hymns on Sundays before, is plenty of 'carols' for me without it in every building & business & then having paid for an evening of it. MAJOR OVERLOAD!

I had to smile when I read Pinyons answer , years ago My husband and I went to a concert like that, During intermission we conspired to leave without making our friends mad. It was a group from the grand old opera. I told them we had to rush home because we couldn't get the baby sitter on the phone and we were worried. To say it didn't live up to our expectations is an understatement. LOL. I wish I could remember more , but twas to long ago.

I never go to shows that mention anything about Christmas unless thats the whole purpose for going for just that reason. You have to expect when you see Christmas mentioned its going to be about the holidays and not about the music you would normally hear.
