I don't know about the catholic priests but the Greek words for love are Philia (φιλία) - kinda like friendship love Storge (στοργή ) - affection Agape (ἀγάπη) - modern Greek means love Ancient Greek it meant affection. Eros (ἔρως) - passionate love with great desire
