targets in Iraq. They are joined by British Forces. Their mission is to attack Iraq's nuclear, chemical, and biological weapons programs and its military capacity to threaten its neighbors, I have no doubt today, that left unchecked, Saddam Hussein will use these terrible weapons again."
What was the occasion?

William Jefferson Clinton

The occasion was the night before the House of Representatives was to vote on his impeachment.

Isn't this very reminiscent of his attacking an aspirin factory in Sudan to get the press off of the news story that he had forcibly raped Juanita Broaddrick, a fellow Democrat candidate?

Just goes to show you that a Clinton will manipulate, lie, and say whatever they have to, to turn down the heat when it comes to the truth!

I don't know why I'm answering this question, because there's no chance I'll get "best answer". Realistically, Obama would meet with important members of his cabinet, the CIA, the FBI, leaders of the attacking country (if available), and anyone else that might have information pertinent to the situation. He would discuss the cost/benefit of a counter attack, or perhaps he would pursue a diplomatic solution to the issue (reparations, treaty, etc). I would hope that he doesn't have a knee-jerk reaction to the problem, and that he takes whatever course necessary to "repair" the damage. My hope is that he would not go straight to war without a second thought. If war was the best response, I would hope that he would focus our country's energy on defeating the enemy rather than starting a second, unrelated war. This has less to do with me being liberal (which I am) and more to do with me attempting to define the purpose of war (what it is used for and what it can accomplish). Unfortunately, if the country were Muslim, Obama would feel more pressure to respond militarily. We have a sore spot when it comes to Muslims right now (in the same way we did with the Japanese and Germans in the first half of the 20th century), and this may cause us to react in an exaggerated and irrational manner... Obama included.

I don't buy the hype that politicians create news or distractions away from what they do. At any rate, it didn't stop his impeachment. People allege Bush does the same, I disagree, the business of government has to move on and sometimes it can appear to strike at inopportune times.

Why are you surprised, for the democrats when Clinton Lies its OK because he is Clinton and everyone knows he is a liar, anyone else says something even when TRUE they expect it to be a lie because that's what they are used to.

Don't ask a question if you are already convinced you have the answer to it. Thanks for the 2 points though.
