YES -- During my Divorce -- BOTH my Ex (who was a violent, abusive sociopath - - who DID Abuse me AND the Children AND was convicted of Abuse) AND his Attorney BOTH treated me LIKE I WAS AN IDIOT -- and they tried to convince the Judge that somehow I was someway 'mentally challenged' (And here it was -- I was on Active Duty, had my UGrad and Grad Degrees, was an Officer, and doing well).
Then that nasty judge kept talking down to me as if I was some 'stupid female' -- and I HAD to keep telling him that it was MY Military Benefits he was talking about -- so I stepped outside, pulled my Uniform OUT of my Trunk, changed into the UNIFORM -- and yes, SHOWED up in COURT in FRONT of that ARROGANT and useless JUDGE to SHOW him that YES, this is a REAL Uniform, and NO .. the EX is NOT the one who is SERVING!
And so it goes, down through the years ... each and every time that the nasty ex decides to torment me (and its been approximately 2 decades since the divorce) .. Whether the Ex is suing me once again (making 'another shot' at TRYING To get some more $$$ out of me) ... or Burglarizing my HOME/Office, Stalking my Residence, or damaging my property.
I am SO SICK and TIRED of being IGNORED by the Legal System -- including having to ARGUE with (and DEMAND) that the Police Officer who Responds to my LATEST report actually GIVE me the PAPERWORK to fill out -- and yes, this happened in August 2006 (when that nasty Ex got the help of an adult child to once again BURGLARIZE my HOME!
What an asinine legal system we have when the Judge sits on the bench (laughing) ... and goes to the ex (on the phone, of course) who 'claims' he 'promises' he won't do anything more ... and then the JUDGE REFUSES to beef up my Restraining/Protective Orders ... and .. within a few weeks -- there is my HOME or Property damaged or burglarized once again. Then the ex disappears for an unpredictable amount of time ... to reappear to torment me in the future.

Yes that has happened to me a few times so what I do is I wait until they don't understand what I am saying and then I talk to them as if they are the idiot so that they can see how it feels to have somebody do it to them.

Welcome to the world of real life...Where people come in all shapes and sizes and opinions and ways of thinking...
One thing to always think about is that we are individuals who are formed at birth, yes. But, also with our own personal life experiences that have molded and shaped us to who we are.
The best advice I can give you is try not to take things too personal. If someone talks to you in a manner that you find irritating, that is their problem and has little to do with you.

Yes I have been treated that way severely all my life by people in my family who are very smart as far as book smarts and college. part of the reason my family has done it to me is because I have made some poor choices that have made them worry about me but part of it was just their own ignorant power trips I guess. But It happens with other people to me also young people who are jealous of me.People who want power over me because I am very talented and some what good looking and kind hearted which makes people feel bad sometimes. I am not very quick or clever with words when I am talking and I sometimes forget things, and I am not organizational so this gives these people plenty of things to put me down with. I am very creative and artsy. The truth is that all those people who are smarty pants with me are not as smart as I am in many ways especially spiritually. I don't say that in pride but in humble meekness it is a sad truth . I do not see it as a victory over them for myself but my victory is that God loves me and I am blessed by him not by other people's opinions of me and I love others with God's love even when they treat me bad. When I do what is right I do it so it will please God not to get honor from mankind. i seek the honor that comes from God only. God also blesses me with people who treat me good and with some of my family I have seen some improvements.

The narcissistic doo doo head that sits beside me in all of my classes. I really dislike him, he treats everyone like they're stupider than him.
One day I asked him if he was enjoying his self centered delusion?" and asked him when he was coming back to the real world. He hasn't really bothered me since, and has even asked me out, I said no.

Yep, but it makes them feel so good, I would just "hate" to burst their bubble when I show them what I'm made of ^_~
I wanted to tell a guy that said "gosh, she talks to fast, I can't understand her" to think a little faster lol... But I'm nice and I didnt...

Oh yes. When they do that, I like to beat them to the punch and explain whatever it is they are trying to tell me to them.......and do a much better job than they would have while I'm at it!

sadly I am guilty of talking like that and yes I am trying to stop. No one deserves to be talked to in that way.
