Can't i just smile, laugh, talk to them...share my thoughts and ideas...have meaningful or fun conversation without me getting in trouble? =(

IgnoranceGoddess, The Only Girls That Can Seem To Be Able To Converse With Men, And Globalize Immunity Against Them Taking It As Attraction Are Tom Girls Or 'Tom Boys'. Typical Girls That Are Feminine, And Are Seductive In Speech And Appearance Become Easy Targets For Being Labeled As Flirtacious. I Have No Mannerism When It Comes To Approaching Men, I Feel Rather Uncomfortable Talking With Same Sex Genders As Opposed To Males, Perhaps Because I Live In A Male Dominated Household, I Tend To Chug My Beverages Rather Than Sip Them, And Eat Faster And Pick Up Really Coarse Voice. Men May Percieve And Interpret Our 100% Innocence In Just Wanting To Talk Or Ask A Question, As Pick Up Lines. Maybe You Just Feel More Comfortable Around Men, Especially If You Didn't Have A Mother Present, Or Had Lots Of Brothers. I Wouldn't Worry About It, You Could Always Use A Language Interpretor -- lolmb.
Do What You Think Is Right! Maybe Your Just Pleasing To The Eye, And Some Men Cannot Keep A Straight Face With That In Their Scope.

Some men are vultures that can detect an easy prey miles away.
Try to use your friendliness in a very assertive manner.
That usually discourages impudent behaviour.

Don't be emo. Guys and gals can be just friends. Sometimes, it depends on the guy. You want a good guy friend? Then just be friends. If they read to much into it, it's their 'fault,' and guys are cool about you saying "I'm sorry, but I just don't like you that way." Guys tease a lot as well, so some it may not necesarily be flirting, so to speak.

Hmn, this happens to me too. (well as far as guys hitting on me, only in jail) But I find that a lotta girls who I try to be nothing more then friends with, still hit on me. Just because I want to be friends with a girl, doesn't mean that I want her. I often find that my friends g/fs will hit on me, which makes me quite uncomfortable, especially when its in front of the guy. I'll admit, I'm a flirt myself, but unless I have some interest in the girl, I'd prefer that she not hit on me.

One...you could be getting friendly with guys who don't want friendly girl.
Two...review what you say and do when you are trying to be friendly. I had a friend who would always wink when meeting guys and they took it as she was hitting on them.

Trust me, I sincerely doubt if it is you. I have a number of platonic relationships with girls that I know. And I myself think that it is refreshing. One girl once told me that she really appreciated having a male friend to share things with and not have the pressures of a physical relationship constantly hanging over us.

guys can be idiots that way. and if a guy likes them they assume he's gay. i have very low self-esteem, so when a girl is friendly to me 'for no reason' i get worried that she may have mistaken me for someone else. when i try to be friendly to a girl, quite often she seems to think i'm trying to get too friendly. i wish i knew someone like you.... i think we could be friends.
