I have two routers:
Both are ADSL Modem Routers

- One F5D7632-4
- One F5D7630-4A

The only difference between the two is the F5D7632-4 has a few more features, such as Wireless Access Point and NAT.

So I have tried this, but don't know where to begin. What I essentially want to do is cut out the need for a wire between my room and my brother's. So to do this I need two routers, obviously.

The router in my room will be the F5D7632-4, as this is also where the internet connection is. The router in my brother's room will be the F5D7630-4A.

The router in my room has the following basic settings:
SSID: HOMENET
128Bit WEP Key
IP: 192.168.2.1
PPPoA Connection Type (to connect to the internet through ADSL)

The router in my room has the following basic settings:
SSID: HOMENET
128Bit WEP Key
IP: 192.168.2.101

Thanks for any help!

Keep one and buy another wifi router. If you use both modems you'll have to have your ISP set it's IP address up and that means having another line, and paying for another line. So for example, buy a Linksys WiFi router, hook it up to the modem and you should be GtG.

You can not connet 2 routers to each other. You will have to get a wireless adapter in order to connect your desktop.

Why not just use a wireless card in your brother's room and you only need one router.

As far as I remember from configurig similiar devices (ASUS WL 500G it was) it has to have 3 modes: home network, router and access point. It should be set as router first. Then - RTFM.
