It is great that you start the day with positive thoughts, sadly too many people wake up already in the mental darkness.
I honestly believe it takes more energy to be unhappy, frown, be down, fall into the darkness than it is to be upbeat, happy and positive. And while I fully understand those black clouds that never seem to go away, there is always a bright light. You just need to take the time to find it!
Think about the smaller joys in life, something simple that makes you happy. Does not have to be large and gloried, the smaller gifts around us will alway mean the most to our hearts. Remember life is about one step, one moment at a time. In a moment, think about one thing that makes you happy and then move on from that point.
That said, if your dark thoughts continue, perhaps write down what is happening around you to try and see if a pattern is evolving as to your triggers. Once you know the cause, you will be able to deal with it accordingly.
Most importantly, take care of YOU.

I truly do understand, the first thing that I would suggest keeping yourself around people that are positive or are least trying to be. Enjoy the good things of college, there are so many things to do that I am positive that you can find something that fits your interest. If...and when you still question remember the goal at the end and what that accomplishment will mean for yourself and your family one day maybe in the future. College can get pretty intense, so keep your priorities but manage out sometime for college driven fun, whether it be at a party or a debate meeting. Take this time of your life as a treasure cause you only live it once.

Try this; don't think so much about keeping and maintaining happy, positive thoughts. Just.. be happy.
You need to do something to keep yourself busy. I don't you, how old you are, or what your day consists of. But I do know that you probably haven't hit the biggest stresses of your life. It's not so much about managing it, but rather being occupied.
If you hit barriers at 10:00 am because you're bored; try, I don't know, video games.
If this happens at work, it's probably time for a new job.
And if it's in class; deal with it. It's temporary.

As corny as it sounds, I think about my family and friends. Sometimes it takes me a little bit to figure out I'm slipping down and I just stop and think about the good things in my life and that there is someone else besides me that has it a whole lot worse, not that it makes me happy to think about others misfortunes, but it makes me appreciate all I do have even if it isn't quite all that I want at the time. Wanting keeps me striving to do my best to achieve my goals.
Worry...let it go, you only have control over yourself, if it is something you can do something about, do it, if not, you have to let it go because there is nothing you can do about it anyway. You will probably not like everything in life that comes your way, but it is how you live your life that will make you happy or not.
Every day you wake up breathing is another chance to make your own happiness.

todays gona be a tough day, people r going to save everything for today, to make it worst, yesterday they didnt make the day hard, but they will today.
thats the daily tough i have in mind at 6 am, i look in the mirror and i say that to myself, then the day begins,
todays gona be a great day, itll be full of happines, nothing will go wrong today, cuz i wont let it get to me,
that kind of stuffs, makes u think the day will be ok, and at the end, it didnt, cuz u expected the best to come that day, and something wrong, this simple thing came up, and the rest of the day is ruined, cuz u expected NOTHING to happen, nothing, but something did, and after one, another comes,
im not telling u to do that, i do that, and i still hit the walls as u do, often, they come out of nowhere, but its the way it is, i cant change it.
the only thing that can f*** ur day, is people, but there is someone, hard to find, that is even better than u, u just gota find it, just dont stop and try not to lose your way

Try to focus on other things then getting frustrated. Don't let anyone get in the way. Stay happy. For me, I usually stuff a candy bar down my throat, it cheers me up. Lol. But anyway if you do get ticked, try to stay calm and breath. Think of something positive such as a family member, your favorite actor/actress, music, etc. Hope I helped. :]

I don't put a lot of pressure on myself to do so. I find that helps. Otherwise it is too much like taking a test all day long. That and keeping my faith strong are my two weapons in the battle against depression. Good luck to you. Getting enough sleep helps, too.

try not to think so much and just be. Okay easier said then done, I don't actually have a technique, I try to be grateful and think that it could be a lot worse and also try to think of something happy to look forward to later after that current moment of unhappiness is over. But life is jsut like that not always enjoyable...remember this too shall pass.

By reminding myself of what's good in my life.
Traffic jam made me late for work? I wasn't in the accident, and I have a job to go to.
Family stressing me out? Deep down, I love them and would be devastated without them.
Worried about my health? ...I'm still alive.
There's a lot to be thankful for... keep your eyes and ears open for what -does- make you happy, and remember it when you get down. But remember, you are human, and ups and downs are all a part of it.

Join somekind of MLM with a good training system, not recomending anything, cough cough, but read Launching the Leadership Revolution by Orrin Woodward and Chriss Brady. Their system keeps me positive all day, and it's improved my night life too ;)
