I just bought an iMac from the Apple Store online.

It comes with several pre-installed applications, most of which are listed here: http://www.apple.com/imac/software/

Mine shipped with Leopard, which you have to install on your own. If you buy from the physical Apple Store, it might come pre-installed, you can ask them to install for you.

For a more detailed breakdown of what will come in the box, check out the tech specs here: http://www.apple.com/imac/specs.html

You can also elect to have Office, iWork, Aperture, and any other Apple product pre-installed for you. I would hold off on buying Office, as Office 2008 is about to be released at MacWorld in January.

Enjoy your new iMac!

Hope this helps.

Mostly a bunch of apple stuff. Real software is made for pc, and it's hard to get a Mac version of any of the good stuff.

Friends don't let friends drive Mac.

I don't own one, but more than likely:

OS X
itunes
apple version of programs similar to word and e.t.c.
safari (web browser)

Pretty much the basics, and probably some free-trial software.

you could not do something without the password. and you could reinstall the MAC OS, yet you dont the two have the CD´s, so your mac is ineffective. or perhaps nevertheless you want to place in Firefox, you won't be able to establish something in case you dont positioned up the password.
