…raped and murdered. Yet I don’t care. She is not mine right? This happens every day right? Do you think my point of view is objectable? Or can you rationalize it as a justifiable means to an end? An inevitable consequence of being born? What do you think?

So if I heard YOU getting raped and murdered and yet I didn't care..... I didn't know you...it happens every night. Was I wrong to let you suffer and die? An inevitable consequence of your being born? Is the consequence really "inevitable"? Had I cared enough to help I could have stopped it. You would have lived. Am I justified in leaving you to suffer when I could have done something to save you? Refusing to acknowledge or help you makes me as guilty as the person who did this to you. What do you think? Maybe you deserved it.

Your point of view is very objectable. Unfortunately a lot of people feel this way. If it does not affect them they do not care. It is a shame that society has sunk so low that we can not or will not involve ourselves in events that don't affect us. Who else but stronger people can stand for the weaker people.
