I am a dog person, and for a reason. A cat gave me the big scar I have on my left hand when I was 4 (I am now 13). Ever since, I've tried to stay clear of cats, but I cant get enough of puppies (lol, I think every dog is as cute as a puppy, which they are). They just give u so much luv, and to this day, I have never come across a dog I didn't pet, and who didn't lick my hand.

I like both, but only have cats as pets (although I grew up with a Cocker Spaniel and later on a Lab mix).

The reason I don't have dogs as pets is because changing a litter box once a week is easier than using a pooper scooper several times a day and having to regularly bathe dogs due to dog smell.

Well lets see, I've had for pets at one time or another, cats, dogs, a pygmy goat, rabbits, snakes, fish, birds, turtles, ferrets, hamsters, tarantulas, and iguanas. When I said it was feeding time at the zoo, I meant it. But if it comes down to which one I like the best between dogs and cats I really couldn't say. Right now we have two cats, we lost our last dog when she was 18. She was a Black Lab/Dobie mix. At one time we had four Irish Setters, and a 110lb. Collie. Yes, they were all pure breeds. I've also had Malamutes, a Pit Bull/Shepard mix, Husky/shepard mix, and all of them led very long lives. In cats I've had every thing but a hairless, and your run of the mill domestic short hair seems to be the majority. We had one snow white green eyed cat who lived to be twenty, his name was Cotton and he was never sure if he was long haired or short as he had both. Spring time was a blast, no matter where he laid he'd get up and leave behind this mess of white hair, of course he loved to lay on anything dark. I have two large photo albums of all the critters, my grandson is now trying to talk his mom into having a snake, I'm staying out of it, he keeps telling her "Grandma had one and she really liked it." Of course what he doesn't know about grandma was I loved to go places with Ablazah (he was a Califorina King Snake) and watched the reactions I got when people realized what I had. He was about 5 ft long. My daughter does know it and asked me not to tell him how much fun I had with him. Oh it's so hard not too, but I did promise her. Hope your and yours have a Great Holiday Season.

Totally a cat person...to the point that I become more cat-like as time passes! You know, falling asleep on the floor in the sun-spot in the middle of the day, batting at dangling objects, head-butting my cats...I think I really AM part feline!

A dog person. Especially big dogs, like Saint Bernards or Great Danes.

I don't like little furry animals with retractable claws (no offense, cat people).

Most definitely a cat person although I can't have one because some people here are allergic to them--I can't stand dogs and they usually sense it immediately and growl when ever I'm near one.
