I had a complete hysterectomy in 1990. I was 42. I haven't had hot flashes for 5-7 yrs. Now for the last 4 months my face and ears will turn red and feel hot to the touch. It feels hot enough to fry eggs on it. This will last maybe 15 minutes at a time sometimes several times a day. I don't sweat when this happens but even my eyeballs feel hot. I've taken my temperature a couple times during this and it is higher than normal. Normal for me is 96.9 - 97.1 degrees and during these times it has been 98.1 - 99.2. If these are hot flashes could they change my body temp?

Yes, it is possible that they could affect overall body temperature but having a hysterectomy can also mess with the temperature mechanism as the body tries to adjust even years later.

I would recommend checking with your doctor as well to see what they say.
