Honestly, I don't remember ever seeing them bathe together. Ernie usually bathes with his rubber ducky, not with Bert.
Actually common/public baths have a long history. It's more a Euro-Asian thing, I think. Showering together is much more common in the States. Just go to any public pool or gym.

LOL - ummmm... I was an innocent little kid at the time... I just loved Sesame Street and I don't recall finding anything disturbing or unusual about it - hey, when I was a little 4 year old my parents bathed me and my 3 year old cousin together - I got pictures too. So kids are kids and I think they don't really think much of it.

No, it never crossed my mind, and for most part, I don't think it crosses the mind of most. Unfortunately in this hyper sexed culture we are in too many see sleaze and creepiness everywhere. They are muppets, remember. They cannot really talk or do things unless a human makes them. I am afraid that you did not suspend your disbelief enough to accept it as kids' entertainment and not a veiled story about kiddy sex.

Haha, these are things that you never think about when you are a kid but all disney movies and stuff like that have some bad stuff in it! They just make it blend it but its there <3

Yes I always found that to be a little odd,and I always wondered, this too....theyre supposed to be best friends right? Wheres their parents? I mean they ALWAYS shared a bedroom ...but they had no adult supervision??
