Easy:
Not only is "It's a Wonderful Life" the best christmas movie ever, it's one of my all-time fave movies, guaranteed to cheer me up when I'm at my lowest. The last few minutes of the movie make me cry every time I watch it (at least once a year).
Number 2: easily "A Christmas Story". That is such an awesome, hysterical movie!!!!
I know you said only two, but I have to add one more, another major, must see each christmas, favorite: the original "Miracle on 34th Street". Just watched it the other night. I love Natalie Wood.

it's hard to choose, each year I watch all of the following:
It would have to be: a christmas carol, both the original version, and the muppets version.
mircale on 34th street, and it's a wonderful life.
Those would have to be my first picks. I watch them each year as a matter of tradition
also comming in as close finnishers are the grinch that stole christmas, Not the jim carey version, the original dr suese version, jim carey messes that one up big time. a charlie brown christmas, the best christmas pagent ever. These would have to be close finnishers
