The PS3's price has already dropped this year. The 40GB PS3 costs $399, and the 80GB and 60GB PS3 price was dropped to $499.

Now, I dont know when the next price drop will be but I do predict it wont be for another 4-6 months, otherwise I would reccomend you start saving up, or behaving and doing well in school and prehaps asking for one for Christmas. But not give up it definatley will be lowered eventually, it just a matter of patience and how badly you want your PS3...

Didn't they just lower the price a few months ago? I doubt that it's going to go much lower, seeing as a stand-alone Blu-Ray player costs about $400 and the PS3 has a LOT more technology in addition to having the Blu-Ray player.

Honestly, you'd be better off getting a Wii or 360. The PS3 doesn't have very many exclusives anymore anyway.

The price on the 40GB PS3 might drop again next year, but no one really knows. But I really think that the 40GB PS3's price might drop next summer.

If you want a PS3, all I can tell you is to save any money that you get, or try to convince your parents to get you one for Christmas.
