From Advent Sunday to Christmas day
When Christ finally in the manger lay,
We ponder the meaning of his pending birth
And celebrate the start of his life on earth.

Hope you can use this. Merry Christmas. Have a happy Yuletide season.

I hope this information helps you understand Advent a little better and gives you some ideas.

Advent is the period of time from Advent Sunday to Christmas Day.
This year Advent Sunday was on the 30th of November.

The word Advent means "coming" or "arrival." The focus of the entire season is the celebration of the birth of Jesus the Christ.

The beginning of Advent is a time for the hanging of the green, decoration of the church with evergreen wreaths, boughs, or trees.

The Advent wreath, is a circular evergreen wreath (real or artificial) with five candles, four around the wreath and one in the center.

Advent is a joyous celebration,
It is observered, all across our nation.
We prepare our homes with decoration,
Waiting patiently in anticipation.

(Not very good but it does rhyme, I think.)

I hope you have a safe and happy Christmas season.

At Advent Time

By Dawn Ray

At Advent time we celebrate
The coming of a holy date
The time of baby Jesus' birth
When hope was brought to those on earth

We humbly hang the boughs of green
In gratitude our voices sing
For grace earned through his sacrifice
The gift of everlasting life

The candle flames burn soft and bright
To signify the light of Christ
And so, dear ones, we shall prepare
We lay down all our woes and cares

Let go of sadness and of sin
We bid him now to enter in
The King of Kings, from heav'n adored
Our gracious, most beloved Lord.

Please e-mail me if you need to know more about the poem or the author. Merry Christmas.

Advent is important,
It's preperation for Christ.
In Advent people
Do stuff that's nice.

Hope you like that verse!
