if you receive a link saying dont miss this, do not click on it ! it says find out who blocked you or deleted you - DO NOT do this, it a trap to capture live email addresses AND your password to them

IF you did click on it go in now and change your passwords on hotmail and msn messenger

Ok I have to admit I was dumb enough to do it because it came through on messenger from a friend, however when I did i got a pop up warning me that my messenger was signed in no another computer !

Yah I know too dumb for words - I immediately changed my password because I figured that was what they were after and live email accounts on people's messengers.

I am assuming my friend was dumb enough to click on it and it fired off a message to me because I was on her list --

I am blaming it on the demerol, I NEVER do anything that stupid ..

Isotope: I just checked my email and
saw mail from someone I did not know,
and they were saying something about
Yahoo Messenger. I wouldn't open it
cause I never open mail unless I know
who it's from. I hope I bypassed whatever problems are going on.
I have always trusted Yahoo to filter
this kind of stuff, but guess I should
watch it closer.
Thanks a bunch.

Thanks! Recently I have been getting this message saying I'm signed in on another computer [which I'm not, as I don't even use the service whatsoever, though I have it]....I just cancelled IM for the present....don't need IM's going out with that email address to the world! - nor do I want folk to have that address for other nefarious means LOL

Yes, definitely thanks for the warning. I use messenger alot plus I have been getting bogus emails from Ebay and PayPal this week to confirm my account. So beware everybody!

Thanks for the warning, Isotope....I use MSN messenger to talk with my son over in Germany. I'd better get a note off to both him and his wife, because that's how they stay in touch with everyone over here.

Thanks again...and now I understand Annelle's post!

you could attempt to have the messenger in yet another consumer profile, change consumer on your gaming profile... I constantly hate it while my spouse's IM sound chimes in on my gaming time. :-) yet while that's what you elect....
