Well, when two computers are in use with one connection it will be slower you have twice the number of users!

You only have the bandwidth of ONE connection from the ISP available so if you divide that by 2 users it will indeed slow down from when only 1 is using it.

If one of those machines has a virus, a trojan, or some other bandwidth hogging program in use then the slow down will really show up badly on all machines!

The other item is that wired machines will always have a better connection that is just the facts about wireless use!

A second router won't change a single thing about the amount of bandwidth available from the ISP If you connect 2 machines then you have to divide by 2, if you have 4 machines then you divide by 4.

To get a faster connection, well, order a faster connection from your ISP!

Does the wireless connection go slower when the wired is on but idle (meaning no one or any program running in the background is using the network) or does it slow down when someone is on the PC. Also, if it just slows down when no one is on it, check to see that you have no P2P programs or torrent programs running in the background. <

what is the wired connection? you internet modem or another pc?are you connected: internet>modem>router>pc's., if you can swap pc's around to see if same happens on wired port with different pc?that may help you troubleshoot location of problem, If same happens then look at router settings,is it good for wireless and wired?
