BAD. The whole idea of a military draft suggests that a government OWNS its citizens. This is essentially a modern form of slavery. In a truly free society it is the other way around. "When the people fear their government there is tyranny. When the government fears the people, there is liberty."

Constitutionally unlawful, 14th Amendment. In WWII they got away with the draft cause people of good conscience and in defense of Liberty and who hated Fascism and its tyrannical yoke on people willingly accepted the draft for a good cause.
The war in Iraq is unjust ! The FBI reported that Saddam Hussein had absolutely nothing to do with the events of 9/11/2001. It is unconstitutional for our military to be where it is today. Do know how many Admirals and Generals left in disgust? Research and discover, remove those propagandized rose colored glasses.

Since youre talking about wars you must mean a Military Draft, which SHOULD be (The Supreme Court's decision notwithstanding) considered enforced servitude under the US Constitution.

Drafting a man will not make him love his country or his fellow soldier.
Drafting a man will not cause him to storm a machine gun nest to save the members of his squad.
Drafting a man will not cause him to resist torture or degradation at the hands of the enemy.

Put in computer terms, "Garbage In, Garbage Out" if you load a platoon with people who have no sense of patriotism or duty, you will not have a very effective military unit.

All draft is bad. No one should be forced to die for a cause they don't believe in. If the people don't support the war enough to voluntarily fight in it, then we shouldn't be fighting the war in the first place.
And I agree with S.A. 100%.

It's a matter of circumstances. If it's an unnecessary war then no, because your forcing people to fight for something that has no meaning to them. However in the case of self defense, then yes because it's every citizens duty to defend their country if they suddenly get attacked by another. But again it's all a matter of what kind of war and what lead to the war starting.

Which draft are you referring too?

If you are talking about the NFL and/or NBA draft, it all depends on if you have the 1st pick or not.

If you are talking about the draft when a driver is leading a NASCAR race, then probably yes.

If you are talking about the Military draft, then I would say (no), the military is better off with volunteers, those who choose to serve their country.

I think we need mandatory domestic military style service doing unarmed border patrol.

Graduate High School, serve two or three years at some ridiculously low wage and qualify for a full scholarship to any State University as long as you can keep a GPA of 2.5 or better.

No Veterans benefits, those are for the volunteer military.

Solves two problems at once, border and education.

Good. I own stock in the company that makes Depends. The way I see it once a draft is announced little liberal bed wetters will be fleeing to Canada screaming and I will make a tidy profit as the stock soars.
